Tanger Med port charts a zero-carbon course
Morocco’s Tanger Med, Africa’s largest port, is accelerating efforts to become carbon neutral and help decarbonize maritime logistics,
Morocco's Minister of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development, Leila Benali, and her Mauritanian counterpart for Energy and Petroleum, Mohamed Ould Khaled, met in Rabat this week to discuss energy security, and to explore electricity interconnection. Local media reports highlighted that the two countries also looked at ways to make progress on key projects such as the Morocco-Nigeria gas pipeline and the development of green hydrogen.
