Veolia and Morocco inked a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) marking an exclusive partnership to develop Africa’s largest seawater desalination plant and the world’s second largest. The plant, to be located near Rabat, will be constructed, financed and operated by Veolia for 35 years and would be intended to cover the water consumption needs of 9.3 million people across Rabat-Salé-Kénitra and Fès-Meknès, the group said in a statement.
