The LIDE Brazil-Morocco Forum in Marrakech, held on Wednesday, brought together more than 100 business leaders, policymakers, and institutional representatives from both countries to discuss economic cooperation. Speaking at the forum, Ali Seddiki, Director General of the Moroccan Investment and Export Development Agency (AMDIE), said “Morocco and Brazil are two dynamic emerging economies with a history of mutual respect,” as reported by local Moroccan media. Former Brazilian President Michel Temer said Brazil wanted to expand its economic relationship with Morocco beyond agriculture, stating, “Brazil is fully open to this dynamic.” Leaders highlighted opportunities in industry, green tech, and investment. Trade between the two nations reached nearly $3 billion in 2024, up 4.52% from the previous year.
