Morocco and Catalonia signed four investment MoUs on Wednesday totaling $50 million that promise to create over 700 new jobs in Tangier, Tetouan, and Kenitra. The sectors range from the automotive industry, waste recovery and packaging to construction materials. The initiative follows recent “Morocco Now” promotional roadshows in Barcelona and Madrid. Spain’s Ambassador to Rabat, Enrique Ojeda Vila, who attended the signing ceremony, emphasized the geographical, historical, and strategic nature of the economic partnership between the two countries.
