Morocco has received its first delivery of U.S.-made Oshkosh M-ATV SXB armored vehicles, aimed at reinforcing its Royal Armed Forces (FAR) in the Saharan and eastern regions. Delivered via the U.S. Special Defense Acquisition Fund, these vehicles offer advanced mobility and protection in asymmetric combat zones, according to Moroccan media. Equipped with heavy machine guns, grenade launchers, and anti-tank missiles, the M-ATVs are designed for rugged environments, featuring mine-resistant armor, a 370-horsepower engine, and a range of 510 km.

In parallel, Morocco has ordered HET A1 logistics vehicles for transporting heavy military equipment, expected to arrive by summer 2025. Manufactured by Oshkosh Defense, the HETs are equipped with powerful engines and reinforced winches for secure transport under combat conditions. The M-ATV and HET acquisitions are part of Morocco’s broader military modernization strategy and growing defense cooperation with the U.S., following recent approvals for Javelin missile purchase.
