Morocco introduces anti-dumping tariffs on imported electric ovens to protect domestic market

Morocco's trade ministry is set to impose a 62% anti-dumping duty on imported electric ovens to safeguard the local market, a ministry official revealed on Friday.

However, Turkish brand ITIMAT will face a lower tariff of 34%.

The source did not provide further specifics. This move comes under the framework of the Morocco-Turkey free trade agreement, initially signed in 2004 and amended in 2020 to include duties on certain Turkish imports following grievances from Moroccan textile producers.
