Morocco is entering the electric aircraft era through a new partnership between Britain’s Vertical Aerospace and Spain’s Aciturri Aerostructures, according to Moroccan media. Aciturri, which acquired Casablanca-based GOAM Industrie in 2023, will produce complete airframes for Vertical’s VX4 electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. The scope covers wings, fuselage, empennage, and pylons for both test and certified models.
The deal supports Vertical’s “Flightpath 2030” strategy to secure long-term component supply and deepen industrial ties. Morocco’s Midparc industrial zone in Nouaceur may handle parts of production. Aciturri, founded in 1977, has built components for Airbus, Boeing, and Embraer, and employs over 3,100 staff across five countries.
The agreement bolsters Morocco’s fast-growing aerospace sector, which posted $1.41bn in exports in the first half of 2025—up 8.8% year-on-year. The country now hosts 150 aerospace firms generating €2.5bn annually, cementing its status as a global manufacturing hub.
