Morocco opts for Israeli artillery weapons system over French version amid supplier discontent
Morocco has agreed to purchase 36 Atmos 2000 artillery systems from Israeli defense firm Elbit Systems, according to the Jerusalem
BlueBird Aero Systems, an Israeli firm, is set to launch a drone production plant in Rabat, Morocco, joining a select group of African nations including South Africa, Egypt, and Nigeria that manufacture military drones.
Ronen Nadir, founder and CEO of BlueBird, which is partially owned by Israel Aerospace Industries, disclosed the development.
According to a statement in the Spanish publication Zona Militar dated April 13, the new facility will produce unmanned aircraft systems. Details regarding the exact location or operational commencement date of the plant have not yet been provided.
