Morocco outlines climate finance vision for Africa

Morocco’s Energy Transition Minister Leila Benali presented the Kingdom’s strategy for tackling Africa’s climate finance challenges at the African Ministerial Conference on the Environment (AMCEN-20) in Nairobi on Wednesday. Benali stressed the need for sustainable financial systems to address funding gaps, outlining a three-pillar approach: integrating climate finance into national strategies, improving governance, and boosting risk management. Morocco has launched a national climate finance roadmap to mobilize green investments, aligned with its low-carbon goals.
