Morocco’s Minister of Energy Morocco, Leila Benali, told parliament that the country plans to build a new $700 million liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal on its Mediterranean coast, according to Pipeline Journal. Morocco also plans a network of pipelines to help bolster the nation's energy infrastructure and international trade. The new pipelines would link the proposed LNG terminal in Nador City directly to the existing pipeline that links Morocco to Spain. Benali also noted that this new link will serve key industrial centres in Mohammedia and Kenitra.
