FIFA inaugurated a new regional office in Rabat to support football development in North and West Africa, according to Moroccan
Morocco said on Thursday it will invest 38 billion dirhams ($4.2 billion) over five years to upgrade its main airports before co-hosting the 2030 World Cup with Portugal and Spain. A deal signed with airports authority ONDA allocates 25 billion dirhams for expansion and 13 billion for maintenance and land. The government aims to boost annual passenger capacity to 80 million by 2030, up from 38 million. A new terminal in Casablanca will add 20 million passengers. Morocco welcomed a record 17.4 million tourists in 2023, targeting 26 million by 2030.
