Morocco tops Maghreb region in new Energy Transition Index

In the latest World Economic Forum’s Fostering Effective Energy Transition 2024 report, Morocco ranked 65th out of 120 countries, moving up one spot, while leading the Maghreb countries, and managing to be second in Africa after Mauritius. The annual report by the WEF provides an overview of the performance and challenges faced by countries as they transition to a more sustainable and efficient energy system, the report covers 120 countries’ readiness to transition to cleaner sources of energy.
