What budget cuts at the UN mean for development goals

The 2024 Sustainable Competitiveness Report, published by the consultancy firm Sole Ability, ranks Morocco in 104th place globally, with a score of 41.23 points, making it the leading country in the Maghreb region. Tunisia follows in second place in the Maghreb and 114th globally, with a score of 40.61 points, while Algeria ranks 149th worldwide with 38.05 points. Mauritania comes in 186th place with 31.89 points, and Libya ranks last in the Maghreb region, in 189th position, with a score of 31.11 points.
