For the second consecutive month Morocco has posted record tourism numbers. According to data from the Ministry of Tourism, by the end of February, there was a 24% increase compared to 2024, an 521,000 additional visitors. It comes just days after a UN tourism report highlighted the attractiveness to investors, praising the roadmap for tourism 2023-2026, in which Morocco has outlined nine strategic priorities to boost both international and domestic tourism. UN Tourism (the former World Tourism Organisation, based in Madrid) secretary general, Zurab Pololikashvili, said that ‘Morocco offers very attractive prospects for investors, thanks to its strategic geographical position, its resilient economy and its proactive policy in favor of foreign direct investment’.
