Morocco and the U.S. have signed a new bilateral Container Security Initiative (CSI) arrangement in Rabat, aimed at enhancing cargo security and increasing trade between the two countries, according to local media. The CSI network operates in over 60 ports around the world and was set up to identify and inspect containers that pose a potential risk before entering America. In a press release, Donald Conroy of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), “This marks not just the expansion of the CSI program, but the strengthening of a partnership rooted in trust.”
