Africa’s largest annual joint military exercise, African Lion 2025, ended Friday with a first in the exercise’s history: a ground assault by special forces and rapid reaction units. The exercise also featured live-fire drills and a virtual target as troops carried out medical evacuations, plus armored vehicle repair and recovery exercises. The drills brought together some 10,000 troops from Morocco, the US and other allied countries, including NATO forces.
