Morocco's automobile market has experienced a decline throughout 2024, with new car sales slipping 0.71% annually by the end of April.
According to data from the Association of Automobile Importers in Morocco (AIVAM), the total number of new cars sold remained relatively stable, reaching 48,948 units in the first four months of the year despite challenging market conditions.
Segment-wise, new passenger vehicle (PV) registrations fell 3.08%, totaling 43,647 units.
The decline in car sales in Morocco aligns with the country's tightening monetary policy, which is likely to deter consumers from the market.
