The latest data released Tuesday by Morocco’s High Commission for Planning (HCP) has indicated that the Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose by 0.4% in June 2025 compared to the previous month. The increase was primarily driven primarily by a jump in food prices and a more modest rise in non-food items, the report said. The latest inflation numbers suggest that food supply remains volatile and that Morocco, according to analysts, is dealing with some broader economic challenges. Core inflation excludes items with state-controlled prices and goods with volatile prices.
