Morocco’s Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita met EU Special Representative for the Sahel João Gomes Cravinho in Rabat on Friday, with the envoy praising Morocco as a key EU partner in addressing Sahel challenges. Cravinho called ties “fruitful, robust, and multidimensional,” highlighting Morocco’s insights on the Sahel as vital for joint action. He stressed the region’s fragility and pledged deeper EU-Morocco cooperation to promote peace and security.
