Morocco’s annual inflation eased to 0.7% in April from 1.6% in March, driven by lower food and non-food prices, the statistics agency HCP said on Thursday. Core inflation, excluding volatile and regulated items, stood at 1.2% year-on-year and 0.2% month-on-month. The slowdown reflects moderating price pressures in the North African economy. Inflation in Morocco is estimated to have reached 2.2% in the first quarter of 2025.
