Morocco's Director-General of National Security and Territorial Surveillance, Abdellatif Hammouchi, has been attending the 13th International Meeting of High Representatives for Security Issues, in Moscow, organized by Russia's National Security Council. Over 125 delegations from more than 100 countries are participating with heads and officials from security and intelligence agencies from the Global South, East, and CIS countries.
Hammouchi noted that “fair and equitable cooperation between nations is essential for the success of any shared security structure aiming to confront strategic threats and challenges in our contemporary world.” He added that “the duty of warning that frames our proactive work, and our shared responsibilities, oblige us to exchange information about all observed or potential security threats, and to share it securely and immediately, thereby achieving our collective security on a win-win principle.”
The meeting serves as a strategic forum for coordination and exchange of perspectives amongst countries looking to develop mechanisms to address increasing global risks and to discuss international policies for neutralizing any emerging threats.
