Nigeria-Morocco gas pipeline advances as key agreements signed

The Nigeria-Morocco Gas Pipeline project has moved forward with signed agreements and completed feasibility studies, Energy Minister Leila Benali said. A final investment decision is expected by end-2025, alongside plans for a special-purpose company. Benali told Morocco’s Council of Advisors that ministerial talks approved a Host Country Agreement, advancing the multi-phase project to supply gas from Nigeria to Morocco and Europe. Route studies and engineering assessments have been finalized.
