Reports by OilPrice.com and Bloomberg said oil loadings from two key eastern Libyan ports were brought to a standstill on Tuesday as protests impacted production. Two people with direct knowledge of the situation told Bloomberg that the stoppages were at Ras Lanuf and Es Sider, which account for more than 400,000 barrels a day of output. The protests stemming from an organization called the Oil Crescent Region Movement.
