The Oman Investment Authority has signed a preliminary agreement with Algeria's Finance Ministry to set up an investment fund worth around $300 million, according to reporting by Reuters. The fund will focus on mining, food security and pharmaceutical industries. Other agreements signed during Oman's Sultan Haitham bin Tariq al-Said visit to the North African country, included a mechanism for setting up a joint venture for oil services.
