HRW report links EU policies to migrant abuses in Mauritania
Human Rights Watch (HRW) has accused the European Union of contributing to widespread abuses against African migrants in Mauritania, including
Opponents of Tunisian President Saied, as well as supporters, staged rival rallies in Tunis Thursday highlighting a deepening political divide.Reporting by Reuterssaid that demonstrators chanted slogans such as "Saied go away, you are dictator" and "the people want the fall of the regime", a slogan heard during the 2011 uprising that toppled former President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali. At the same location, Saied’s supporters were heard chanting, "No to foreign interference" and "The people want Saied again". While riot police were deployed, there were no reports of clashes.
