Saudi Arabia to host Sahel region donor conference to support displaced persons and refugees

Saudi Arabia is hosting a conference in Jeddah on 26 October later this year to assess how to best support the Sahel and Lake Chad region who are increasingly lacking resources for IDPs and refugees. The Kingdom is hosting this humanitarian conference as part of its role in supporting crisis-affected communities around the world, in alignment with Saudi Arabia’s ongoing commitment to supporting international humanitarian relief efforts. Donor contributions will be used to provide basic necessities and alleviate the suffering of IDPs and refugees living in the region.
