Saudi Arabia to host Sudan peace talks in next three weeks

Saudi Arabia is set to host fresh peace talks aimed at ending the war in Sudan within the next three weeks, the United States said, calling for both sides to "negotiate in good faith toward a ceasefire."

The negotiations, scheduled in Jeddah, follow a France-supported international conference in Paris which raised over two million euros for Sudan.

Egypt, the UAE, the African Union, and the IGAD East African bloc will assist in facilitating the talks, a spokesman for the State Department said.
