Senegal, Mali condemn Mauritania’s deportation of nationals

Senegal and Mali have protested Mauritania’s mass deportations of their citizens, citing harsh treatment. Videos show families, including children, forcibly expelled with belongings piled on their heads. Rights groups say hundreds were detained and sent to Senegal’s Rosso town or Mali, many despite holding valid permits. The Mauritanian Association for Human Rights reported 1,200 pushbacks in March, including 700 legal residents. Both nations demand urgent action over the crackdown.
