Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met U.S. CENTCOM Commander Michael Kurilla in Cairo Sunday, to discuss regional security, according to Egypt Today. Sisi reiterated that Nile water is a national security issue as Ethiopia prepares to inaugurate its contested dam. Talks also addressed efforts to secure a Gaza ceasefire and strengthen Egypt-U.S. military cooperation amid broader regional instability.
