FIFA inaugurated a new regional office in Rabat to support football development in North and West Africa, according to Moroccan
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi voiced support for France’s plan to recognize Palestinian statehood at the UN in September, according to a statement from Egypt’s Presidency. In a call with Emmanuel Macron on Saturday, Sisi praised the move as consistent with the two-state solution, which he called the sole path to peace. The leaders also discussed Gaza ceasefire efforts and backed a planned global conference on the issue.
