Sources: Egypt sees positive signs in Gaza ceasefire talks

Another busy end to the week in terms of shuttle diplomacy surrounding Gaza, as Egypt officials traveled to Doha to meet with their Qatari counterparts. Security sources told Reuters that there were ‘positive indications from Israel over a new ceasefire proposal that suggests Hamas release five Israeli hostages each week, as part of a transitional phase. Asked about the latest proposal, a Palestinian official close to the negotiations told Reuters: "there are some offers that look better than the previous ones".
