According to reports by the BBC Sudan’s army has marked one of its biggest victories in the last year by recapturing large parts of the war-torn capital from RSF paramilitaries. While the RSF remain in control of Khartoum, the army now holds most of the territory around Omdurman, Bahri and Khartoum. Battlefield updates indicate a shift in momentum, with one army source confirming its troops were “close to reaching the center of Khartoum”.
