Sudan's military announced on Friday that it has recaptured the Republican Palace in Khartoum from rival paramilitary Rapid Support Forces, marking a significant symbolic win. The palace, located amid key government offices, was the last major stronghold in the capital held by the paramilitaries. Despite this victory, ongoing conflict is expected as the RSF controls areas in Darfur and beyond. Confirmation came via a video posted on social media, featuring a military officer inside the palace during Ramadan.
