Egypt reverts to oil as gas woes deepen
Facing dwindling gas production and mounting energy demand, Egypt is turning to fuel oil to keep the lights on, OilPrice.
Syrian Foreign Minister Assaad al-Shibani said Tuesday that he had his first reported conversation with Egyptian counterpart Badr Abdelatty since Islamist-led rebels took control in Damascus. In a post, Shibani expressed satisfaction with the discussion, during which Abdelatty emphasized the critical role both nations play in regional stability and prosperity. He noted that Egypt and Syria have a shared history and a promising future together.
