Tens of thousands join pro-Palestinian protest in Morocco

Tens of thousands marched in Rabat on Sunday in the largest pro-Palestinian rally in months, according to AFP. Organized by the Islamist-led Justice and Development Party, protesters condemned Israel’s renewed offensive in Gaza and urged Morocco to cut ties with Israel, re-established in 2020. Demonstrators waved Palestinian flags, denounced Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, and called for lifting the siege on Gaza. Rabat has officially called for an immediate and lasting ceasefire without addressing bilateral relations.
