Rights group denounces ongoing crackdown on LGBTQ+ community in Tunisia
At least 14 people identifying as LGBTQ+ have been arrested in the past week in Tunis and on the island
US President Donld Trump has said he is looking towards a quick resolution of Egypt’s water dispute with Ethiopia after completion of a Nile dam that Cairo says could deprive it of its vital share of the river's water.
President Trump said that “closing up water going to the Nile" from a river that is “a very important source of income and life ... to take that away is pretty incredible. But we think we are going to have that solved very quickly.” Responding on Facebook, Egypt’s President El-Sisi wrote: "Egypt values the importance President Trump attaches to reaching a fair agreement that safeguards the interests of everyone linked to the Ethiopian dam and his assertion of what the Nile represents to Egypt as a source of life."
