Morocco, Brazil bolster economic ties

U.S. President Donald Trump will meet leaders from Gabon, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Mauritania and Senegal at the White House on July 9 to discuss commercial opportunities, a White House official said Wednesday. "President Trump believes African countries offer incredible commercial opportunities benefiting both Americans and our African partners," the official said. The Trump administration has shifted focus from aid to trade under its "America First" policy, cutting some Africa assistance programs. Africa Intelligence and Semafor first reported the planned meetings.
