Tunisia, in coordination with the International Organization for Migration, facilitated the voluntary return of 379 undocumented migrants to West Africa this week, Xinhua reports. The effort—part of IOM’s Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration programme—saw migrants repatriated to Gambia, Guinea, Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, and Sierra Leone. Over 3,500 have returned through the scheme in 2025, amid rising departures from Tunisia toward Europe.
