Tunisia’s Ministry of Industry, Mines and Energy has announced the companies that will spearhead the construction of 500 MW of solar parks in the country. Norwegian renewables company Scatec ASA, France’s Qair Group and Voltalia, in conjunction with a unit of Toyota Tsusho Corp will all develop the infrastructure that is expected to have a combined output of 1,100 GWh per year, equal to 5% of Tunisia’s total electricity production.
