Tunisia quits African human rights court
Tunisia has withdrawn from the African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights, a move condemned by rights groups as a
Jailed Tunisian politician Ayachi Zammel who had challenged President Saied in recent elections, has received more prison time, according to his lawyer Abdessatar Messaoudi who was speaking to AFP. That would bring the total number of sentences against him to more than 30 years. Zammel's lawyer added that he currently faces 37 cases, all concerning the same accusation of fake endorsements. His campaign had called his arrest "political".
