At this week’s Paris Air Show, the Tunisian Air Force reached an agreement with Bell Textron to purchase 12 Subura Bell 412EPX helicopters. It will be the first sale and deployment in Africa and is intended for multi-role military and security missions by the Tunisian Air Force. Speaking to aviation media, Tim Bell, Bell Textron’s Managing Director for Middle East and Africa, said: “we’re thrilled to bring it to the Middle East and Africa region with the Tunisian Air Force.” The platform enables critical missions with a load of 5,385 lbs. Recent customers for this helicopter include the Japan Coast Guard, San Diego Fire and Rescue, and the interior ministries of Croatia and the Sarajevo Canton.
