The impact of a UN cash crisis on Libya
It may loosely be described as the law of unintended consequences. For over three decades the former ruler of Libya,
Tunisian presidential candidate Ayachi Zammel was rearrested just hours after being released from pretrial detention on charges of forging ballot signatures, his lawyer told AFP on Friday. Zammel, 43, is one of two candidates approved by the electoral authority, ISIE, to challenge President Kais Saied in the October 6 election. A court in Manouba ordered his release Thursday night after four days in custody, according to his lawyer, Abdessatar Messaoudi.
