Tunisia selects ‘Take My Breath’ for 2025 Oscars international feature race

Tunisia has chosen Take My Breath, the debut feature from director Nada Mezni Hafaiedh, as its official entry for the 2025 Academy Awards in the Best International Feature category. The drama centers on Shams, a young seamstress whose quiet life is disrupted when their intersex identity and involvement in a love triangle are revealed. Pursued by an obsessive attacker, Shams is forced to flee to Tunis. The shortlist for the Best International Feature category will be announced on Dec. 17.
