Tunisian startup Kumulus water raises $3.5M to scale air-to-water tech

Tunisia’s Kumulus Water secured $3.5 million in seed funding to expand its atmospheric water generation technology into France, Spain, and Saudi Arabia. Backers include Bpifrance, PlusVC, and Spadel. The funds will support its off-grid Kumulus Boks units for industrial and community use. Founded in 2021, the startup produces self-contained water generators requiring no existing infrastructure. Its systems are already deployed in schools and remote areas across Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, addressing water scarcity.
