The U.S. Central Intelligence Agency has updated its map to show Western Sahara as part of Morocco, aligning with
Two Tunisian television personalities, broadcaster Borhen Bssais and political commentator Mourad Zeghidi, were detained under accusations of "spreading false news," their lawyers reported.
The arrests on May 12 followed comments made by the pair online and through various media outlets.
At the opening of their trial on Wednesday, both Bssais and Zeghidi maintained that their actions were part of their journalistic duties.
They face potential imprisonment of up to five years under Decree 54, a legislation that criminalizes the dissemination of false information via communication networks, ostensibly to prevent harm or defamation.
