Tunisia has harvested 575,100 tonnes of grain by June 22, a 75% surge from 329,300 tonnes in the same 2019 period, state news agency TAP reported. Durum wheat led production at 350,900 tonnes, followed by barley (195,700 tonnes), with 96.8% destined for consumption. The Beja region contributed 21.9% of the total. Officials attribute the strong yield to favorable weather, signaling recovery in the agricultural sector after drought years.
