Tunisia’s trade deficit reached $3.4 billion in the first half of 2025, widening 24%, official data showed on Friday, suggesting ongoing economic pressures for the North African country, Reuters reported. The state Institute of Statistics said that the increase was driven by a rise in imports which hit $14.36 billion, particularly of energy, which rose by 13%, while exports remained stagnant.
