U.S. and Egypt partner to end violence against women and girls

The U.S. Embassy in Cairo has announced a five-year Ending Violence Against Women and Girls initiative, implemented in close collaboration with partners in the Government of Egypt. An initial investment of $9.7 million through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), aims to prevent and respond to violence against women and girls through a partnership with CARE, the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), and UN Women.
