U.S. and Moroccan Forces Launch Medical Mission in Southern Morocco

U.S. and Moroccan military medical teams launched a 12-day humanitarian mission in Anzi on May 11 as part of the African Lion 2025 exercises. The joint operation, led by Utah's 151st Medical Group and Morocco's Royal Armed Forces, provides free general medicine, dental and pediatric care through a temporary field hospital. "Our coordination has been seamless," said U.S. Air Force Capt. Lydia Christensen. The annual mission enhances military medical readiness while serving remote communities.
