Libya's full reentry into the oil market pressures crude prices
Libya’s oil output has doubled from August levels to more than a million barrels a day after rival factions
The US envoy to Libya, Richard Norland, and the Turkish ambassador to Libya, Kenan Yilmaz, met in Tripoli this week according to an online post from the US Embassy. They reportedly discussed support for the UN-led political process in order to pave the way for holding elections in Libya.
Norland said that he had a very useful meeting with Ambassador Yilmaz and that the two discussed their desire to see security and economic progress in Libya. Norland also congratulated Libya and Turkey on the resumption of Turkish Airlines' flights between the two countries, saying it indicated increasing stability in Libya.
